Job Title: Contract AnalystLocation: Oakbrook Terrace, IL 60181Duration: 24 Months, extension possible based on needs and performance Job Description: Hybrid Role: M/F remote, Tues-Thur in office (9-3 core hours- flexible on start and end times) Must have skills:Excel power user, Power BI knowledge, EPC experience, GMP experience preferred but not required.Construction contract experience, Contract reviewal, construction finance experience, Invoicing experienceDoes NOT need: Utility experience, IT experience, PMP. Duties:An EPC (Engineering, Procurement, and Construction) Contract Analyst is responsible for managing and analyzing contracts in projects that involve engineering, procurement, and construction activities.This role is crucial in ensuring compliance, mitigating risks, and optimizing contract performance throughout the project lifecycle.Responsibilities: Contract Administration:Review, draft, and negotiate EPC contracts and related documents.Monitor contract performance and compliance with terms and conditions.Maintain organized records of contracts and related correspondence.Risk Management:Identify, assess, and mitigate risks associated with contract terms and execution.Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations for contract modifications or enhancements.Cost Analysis:Analyze contract costs and pricing structures to ensure alignment with project budgets.Prepare cost estimates and financial reports related to contracts.Collaboration:Work closely with project managers, legal teams, and procurement departments to ensure seamless contract execution.Liaise with vendors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to address contract-related issues.Compliance and Reporting:Ensure compliance with industry regulations, company policies, and contractual obligations.Prepare and present reports on contract performance, compliance, and financial metrics to management.Dispute Resolution:Assist in resolving contract disputes and claims through negotiations and mediation.Document and track changes, amendments, and issues arising during contract execution.Market Research:Stay updated on industry trends, market conditions, and best practices related to EPC contracts.Conduct benchmarking studies to inform future contract negotiations.Qualifications:Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.A Master’s degree or professional certification (e.g., CCP, PMP) may be preferred.Experience: 3-5 years of experience in contract management, preferably in the EPC sector or related industries.Skills:Strong analytical and negotiation skills.Proficient in contract management software and Microsoft Office Suite.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities.Knowledge: Familiarity with construction processes, procurement practices, and relevant laws and regulations (e.g., FIDIC, AIA).Additional Considerations:Experience in heavy industrial construction with focus on utility and/or oil and gasAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.Willingness to travel to project sites as necessary.Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as in a team
