We are a pediatric speech therapy clinic that hires fun, kind therapists to help our community of children improve their communication skills. We are looking to add another wonderful Occupational Therapist to our group! If you are an energetic, independent, and experienced OT that loves to collaborate, this could be the position for you! Scheduling of clients may be flexible, but full time case load is preferred. We are looking for a committed and patient-focused Occupational Therapist to develop, recover or maintain the daily living and work skills of children with physical, mental or developmental conditions. We are neurodiversity affirming, focus on the whole child, and help support sensory processing regulation, executive functioning, feeding, and other areas of development. You will offer effective and client-centered services that will enable people to confidently and independently carry out everyday tasks or activities. The successful candidate will have an holistic perspective and will be able to adapt the environment to fit the person. Our team loves to learn and teach each other. The ideal applicant would be interested in expanding their knowledge through CEUs, group/team study, and teaching each other. ResponsibilitiesAddress child’s aspects of performance to support engagement in occupations that affect health, well-being and life qualitySelect and adapt the appropriate per case occupational therapy treatment model, method and approach to direct the process of interventionsApply interventions to maximize safety and performance in activities of daily living (ADL) and instrumental activities of daily living (IADL)Teach children new ways of approaching tasks and educate them on how to break down activities into achievable componentsRecommend adaptive equipment and train in its useGuide and educate family members and caregiversObserve, note, and report on progress of long and short term treatment goalsCollect data and document processes followedRegularly follow-up clientPreferred 2+ years in pediatric experience SkillsProven working experience as occupational therapist, 3+ years preferredExcellent knowledge of principles and practices of occupational therapyHands-on experience with computer programs and creative mediaFamiliarity with ADLs evaluation toolsAbility to manage patients with different types of personalitiesCurrent knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and drive to continually learn and grow in the professionProfessional behaviorExcellent interpersonal communication skillsValid license to practice occupational therapyAbility to supervise a COTA Clinic CultureOur clinic values collaboration amongst peers.
