Datacenter Hardware Technician (2nd Shift) Location: Memphis, TX (100% Onsite) Shift: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM (2nd Shift) Overview: We are seeking skilled Datacenter Hardware Technicians to manage break/fix operations, ensuring seamless operations of Dell servers in a fast-paced environment. This role requires hands-on technical expertise, with an emphasis on hardware repair, rack and stack, and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate is comfortable working onsite in a dynamic datacenter environment, managing tickets, and collaborating with a team to resolve hardware issues quickly and efficiently. Responsibilities: Hardware Support: Perform hands-on maintenance, troubleshooting, and hardware replacement (e.g., GPUs, NICs, memory, etc.) for Dell servers and related equipment.Ticket Management: Track and manage service tickets, prioritizing and resolving issues in a timely manner.Problem-Solving: Diagnose and resolve hardware failures, leveraging expertise in server components and systems.Customer Service: Provide clear and effective communication with team members and internal customers, ensuring a smooth experience.Physical Tasks: Lift up to 65 pounds, work on ladders, and perform physically demanding tasks in the datacenter.Team Collaboration: Work efficiently with other technicians and departments to meet deployment goals and resolve technical issues.Attention to Detail: Ensure all repairs and tasks are completed to a high standard, maintaining precision and quality. Required Skills: Dell Server Expertise: Proven experience in racking, stacking, and servicing Dell servers in a datacenter environment.Break/Fix Experience: Hands-on experience with diagnosing hardware failures, swapping parts, and performing repairs.Problem-Solving Skills: Strong troubleshooting abilities to quickly identify and resolve hardware issues.Customer Focus: Excellent communication skills and the ability to provide customer service in a technical environment.Physical Endurance: Ability to lift 65 pounds and work at height on a ladder.Attention to Detail: Strong focus on precision and quality in all tasks. Preferred Skills: Nvidia GPU/NIC Experience: Familiarity with Nvidia hardware and networking interfaces is a plus.Basic Networking Knowledge: Understanding of basic network troubleshooting and configurations.Linux Log Reading: Experience reading and interpreting Linux logs for hardware diagnostics. Nice-to-Have Skills: Linux CLI: Command-line experience in Linux for basic system navigation and troubleshooting.RoCE Networking: Familiarity with RoCE (RDMA over Converged Ethernet) network protocols. Additional Information: Onsite Work: This role requires 100% onsite presence in Memphis, TX, with no remote work options.Shift Details: The position is for the 2nd shift, working from 1:00 PM to 10:00 PM.Physical Requirements: Ability to perform hands-on hardware repairs, lift heavy equipment, and work in a physically demanding environment.
