Job DescriptionH2Bravo is hiring interested individuals to immediately deploy to South and Central Florida to support Florida’s response to Hurricane Milton. Opportunities are available for multiple roles that include Building Code Plan Reviewers/Building Inspectors and Building Code Administrators. All these roles involve assisting with reviewing construction plans, inspecting building projects, and enforcing compliance with local and state building codes. These positions involve assessing residential, commercial, and industrial projects to ensure safety, structural integrity, and adherence to zoning laws and regulatory requirements. All these roles will play a vital function in expediting the permitting process, focusing on projects in flood-prone areas, and ensuring alignment with FEMA and NFIP guidelines. Daily work schedule will be 8 hrs per day, Mon – Fri with the possibility of weekends. This position is expected to last 2-6 months. The work will be in person and onsite. This is a temporary position with no benefits. Minimum QualificationsICC Certification required for each specific role or 5+ years of experience in performing these job duties in a permit office or local municipality. Florida Certification preferredFamiliarity with permitting software and electronic plan review systemsMinimum of 3 years of experience in building plan review, inspection, or code enforcement depending on specific positionThorough understanding of local and state building codes, zoning regulations, and construction safety standardsStrong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurately reviewing plans and conducting inspectionsExcellent communication skills for clearly conveying code requirements and violationsValid driver’s license and reliable transportation for on-site inspectionsMust be 18 years of age or older
