Estimating will be your primary focus, but you’ll also lend your expertise to support project managers on an as-needed basis. This means you’ll contribute directly to both project success and client satisfaction by creating competitive estimates and helping to guide projects from bid to closeout. **What You’ll Do:** - **Estimate with Precision:** Develop accurate, competitive, and detailed electrical estimates for projects including commercial, industrial, and residential installations. Analyze project plans, specifications, and requirements to create comprehensive bid proposals.- **Client & Team Collaboration:** Work closely with clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and our in-house teams to clarify project needs and ensure estimates are aligned with expectations.- **Budget Tracking & Financial Insight:** Support project managers by monitoring budget adherence, tracking cost forecasts, and flagging any budget-related issues.- **Project Management Assistance:** Provide project managers with intermittent support in scheduling, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and procurement. Assist with troubleshooting issues that arise during project execution to keep projects on track.- **Risk Assessment:** Aid project managers in identifying risks and challenges at the estimation stage, assisting with strategies to mitigate potential issues during project execution.- **Continuous Improvement:** Recommend improvements to estimating processes and project support strategies to enhance productivity and profitability. **What We’re Looking For:** - **Experience:** 5+ years in electrical industry, ideally with some background in project support or management within the electrical or construction industries.- **Education:** College education is not a requirement for this role. However a construction management or engineering degree is a plus.- **Technical Skills:** Proficiency in estimating software (Accubid, Procore, or similar) and project management tools. Strong knowledge of electrical codes, construction methods, and materials.- **Analytical Mindset:** Keen attention to detail, with a strong ability to understand project requirements and develop competitive bids.- **Organizational Skills:** Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities, capable of managing multiple estimates simultaneously and assisting project managers as needed.- **Problem-Solving:** Resourceful and solution-oriented, skilled in handling challenges as they arise.- **Communication Skills:** Strong, clear, and professional communication with clients, suppliers, and internal teams.-**Growth Mindset:** Our motto is “shoot for Pluto because nobody has been there”.
